Reflections Program

PTA’S REFLECTIONS ART PROGRAM BRINGS ART TO LIFE ACROSS THE NATION

Students nationwide will reflect on the theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. “I MATTER BECAUSE” is the 2020-21 Reflections Theme! Join us on the Reflections Adventure of the Soul as we all “MATTER”.  This is a perfect activity for those "Mom or Dad, I'm bored!", quarantine days. Encourage your students to participate and hand out some art materials, camera, bundled-up energy and tell them, “What does 'I Matter Because?' mean to you?"  Use some of those quarantine times to create something spectacular.

The PTA's Reflections program encourages students of all ages to:

• Unleash creative talents and be inspired

• Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork

• Experience the fun and joy of making art

• Tap into critical-thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme

• Receive positive recognition for their original works of art

Students may submit original creations in one or more of these six categories:

1. Visual Arts

2. Literature

3. Photography

4. Dance Choreography

5. Film Production

6. Music Composition
